Some useful cyberware pieces for every runner. Some of them have appeared in later shadowrun products; nonetheless, there is no connection to that. I guess the ideas must be too obvious to not reinvent them from time to time.

headware implant. cyber eyes and datajack required.
allows the person to find every way back. the cyber eyes are used as sensors that take landmarks. these are saved to a chip in the datajack. whenever trying to find a way back, the landmarks are compared to the current environment and shown on the cyber eyes display if detected. if the landmarks are not removed until then, there is a 99,8 % probability to find the correct way. headmem may be used instead of the datajack chip. need is 1 mp per 10
m.

the eyes and ears are used as sensors, a chip in the datajack analyzes the data received and checks for events typical for bugs. the person using the detector must hold relatively still to complete scanning, which may take L rounds to finish (the more bug data, the more processing time). at the end, the location of all detected bugs are shown on the cyber eyes display. the chips are available in levels from 1 to 8 and cost 15K per level. this system is used like a normal bug scanner with the level of the chip. |

acts like a minimal radar. range is 200m + L*300m. scans are displayed on a radar field on the eye display. ECM or ECCM cannot be implanted. a smartgun rocket launcher can be connected to the datajack, thus enabling the rocket to lock the target with the data received from the internal radar. while in buildings etc. the range is 1/10 of normal range. apply normal ECM rules. |

eye implant. datajack or cyber weapon required.
a mini laser light in one eye displays a laser spot wherever the person looks. this data can be used for a cyber weapon, alternatively a smartgun weapon connected with the datajack, giving the person a -1 TN for hitting the target. with additional modification, the laser could be used to send messages, or to read vibrations, thus making it a vibration bug. it is rumored this mods exist, but no certified information is out here. |
Arm Recoiler |

builds shock padding and gas ventils into a normal arm, acting like
standard recoil reduction equipment in weapons. takes 1/10 of the normal
essence cost if built into a cyberarm.
available for cyber weapons. this doubles the recoil reduction but makes the system useless for normal weapons. and there will not be enough room left to install the same for normal weapons (sorry, u cant have it all). not cumulative with weapon recoil reduction, just take the highest of both. |

body ware. smartlink required.
consists of a hardware coding unit in the smartlink pad in the persons hand and a another one at the weapon. the weapon can only be used if docked to the smartlink pad with the right code, thus only persons belonging to a group with the same code can use weapons coded for it. normal smartlink activity is not disturbed, so unencoded smart weapons may be used as normal. note that encoded weapons cannot even be fired by a individual with the wrong code (or no smartlink pad). |
